ATTENTION!
NEW LOCATIONS FOR TOWN MEETINGS |
|
Because of Town Hall renovations, Town Council meetings are at the City Center in West Palm Beach at 401 Clematis.
The building is between Banyan & Clematis. Going South on Dixie, the garage entrance is on the right. Cost is $1 for the first 2 hours and $1 for each additional hour. Please allow plenty of time for travel and parking.

| TOWN OF PALM BEACH POLICE WANT VOTE ABOUT HAVING A UNION |

The general council's chief of staff for the Florida Fraternal Order of Police reported that 92 percent of the 53 police officers requested the vote. Click here for more on the story: Palm Beach Daily News

Police in Palm Beach will no longer automatically recieve highest pay in the county.

| FOURTH OF JULY CELEBRATION AT BRADLEY PARK |

On July 4th, the Town will hold its Annual Old Fashioned Fourth of July Celebration. The Civic Association is a major underwriter of this event. The fun takes place at Bradley Park from 6:30 - 9:00 p.m. and will feature food, music, games and all kinds of fun. Click to see Town News Release

The Palm Beach Daily News did a feature on the Civic Association's communication programs for members, residents, and employees in Palm Beach. The story highlighted the Civic Association Facebook launch, the new website, Monday Morning in Palm Beach e-blast, print pieces like the Voters Guides, and our goal for a good balance between print and electronic communication. | FLORIDA'S NEW SEAT BELT LAW GOES INTO EFFECT TOMORROW |
|
The new law allows police officers to ticket drivers for not wearing seat belts as a primary offense. Prior to the new legislation, officers could only ticket a driver for being unbelted if they had been stopped for a moving traffic violation.

| TOWN PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION MEETING JULY 7 CANCELLED |
|
The Town's Planning & Zoning Commission meeting scheduled for July 7th has been cancelled. The next regularly scheduled meeting will be held on Tuesday, August 4th at 9:30 a.m. in the Emergency Operations Center (EOC), located on the 3rd floor, Central Fire Rescue Station, 355 So. County Road.
