It didn’t start out as a typical Palm Beach Friday evening in January. Ominous swirling clouds and rain during a tornado watch peppered what was to be an outdoor party for major contributors of the Civic Association.
Then, ten minutes before the party was to start, the sun peeked out and 140 major supporters of the Civic Association enjoyed music, cocktails and hors d’oeuvres at the beautiful Intercoastal home of Hilary and Wilbur Ross.
In his remarks to the guests, host and Civic Association Director Wilbur Ross thanked everyone for supporting the important work the Civic Association does in protecting the quality of life in Palm Beach. He also mentioned how important it is to support the Undergrounding effort in town. Mr. Ross is on the Town Undergrounding Task Force.
In addition, Civic Association CEO and Chairman Bob Wright recognized the major corporate partners for this year: the Everglades Foundation, Good Samaritan Medical Center, and Scripps Florida.
