Pearl Seas Cruises, which operates the Pearl Mist, plans to offer its Cuba Cultural Voyage from a “South Florida port.” Although an itinerary map on the company’s website appears to show the ship departing from Palm Beach County, a Pearl Seas spokeswoman said the cruise line is considering several ports in the South Florida area.
The ship is expected to depart March 6th, 2016. The cruise line's website says the 10 day voyage would stop in seven different cities, including Havana.
The ship is capable of carrying more than 200 passengers.
According to their website: "Changes in the U.S. Regulations have made it possible for unique people to people experiences in unforgettable destinations. Pearl Seas Cruises is excited to offer this opportunity to delve into Cuba through our cultural exchange voyages. Our people to people exchange will be centered around several UNESCO World Heritage Sites, including Old Havana and its Fortification System, San Pedro de la Roca Castle, Santiago de Cuba, Trinidad and the Valley de los Ingenios, Urban Historic Centre of Cienfuegos and Alejandro de Humboldt National Park."
Tickets would start at $7,500 each.
