President-elect Donald Trump tapped billionaire Wilbur Ross Jr., a Palm Beach Civic Association director and member of the Executive Committee, as commerce secretary.
Mr. Ross, 79, said he got official word of the selection late Tuesday when he met with the president-elect at Trump Tower in New York.
Reached by phone today, Mr. Ross said he likely won’t be able to spend as much time in Palm Beach as he does now, though he will be here for the holidays.
