Polls opened at 7 a.m. this morning and by 10 a.m., under cloudy skys and the threat of rain, voter turnout started out slow.

South Fire Station precincts were reporting under 30 voters, Central Fire Station precincts were reporting under 20 voters, and by mid-afternoon the St. Edwards precincts were reporting only 71 voters.

Poll workers opined that at this time of year, when many voters are away, absentee ballots are the way many Palm Beach voters cast their ballots. Stay tuned to the Civic Association for the results tomorrow!
