By Christina Wood, Special to the Civic Association News - The partnership between the Palm Beach Civic Association and Good Samaritan Medical Center continues to bear fruit as evidenced on Tuesday, Jan. 24 with the Art of Caring reception held at the home of The Honorable Nancy Brinker, Civic Association Director and founder of Susan G. Komen, the world’s largest breast cancer charity.

While major donors enjoyed a variety refreshments and some of South Florida’s most glorious weather, Mark Nosacka, CEO of Good Samaritan Medical Center, and Dr. Thomas Klein, radiation oncologist with the center’s Breast Institute, shared information regarding the innovative forms of breast cancer treatment that are now available in our community. Following their presentation, the audience posed a number of questions that clearly demonstrated the extent to which this disease has touched lives in and around our community.

Stay tuned for a full report next week.
