Healthcare

The Palm Beach Civic Association Healthcare Committee conducted a Town of Palm Beach Healthcare Survey in December 2014 and here are the results. The survey was distributed town wide via email.

Over 500 opened the email, 107 opened the survey, and 76 completed it.

Overall, Palm Beachers are very happy with the local healthcare they receive.

Almost 79% are happy with their primary care physician and over 81% are satisfied with their specialists.

The survey asked about which hospitals residents have had experience with and if they were satisfied. Only 9.2% were not satisfied with their experience.

Greatest healthcare topics of interest are cardiac, cancer, and fitness.

Only 14.4% of survey respondents have an automatic external defibrillator (AED) in their home or apartment.

Almost 80% received a flu shot this season and 71% received pneumonia vaccines.

“We’re very pleased that our group was able to get a first-hand sense of how residents feel about access to high quality health care services in Palm Beach." said Jeff Levitt, Civic Association director and Healthcare Committee member.  "We plan to use the feedback from the survey to offer valuable educational programs from time to time now knowing what those needs might be.  We thank all those that took the time to respond to our questionnaire and provide us with their thoughtful comments and feedback.”
