Midtown Beach Repair Underway in Palm Beach [Video]

Michael Brown, Civic Association Communications Director -- Construction began Monday to repair a badly eroded 'hot spot' at Midtown Beach off Gulfstream Road.  The wall separating the beach and the sidewalk was removed so trucks and other heavy equipment could access the beach from Ocean Avenue.

UPDATE: Surf Advisory - Caution at Public Beaches

By: R. Michael Brown, Civic Association Communications Director -- [UPDATES IN RED] There are still 3 to ocassional 5 foot waves from the north swell are left over from this week's heavy surf. Beaches were closed until late Thursday. They are now open.

Midtown Beach Erosion Plan in the Works

We’ve been reporting about the extreme erosion at the southern end of Mid-Town Beach that has the beach access closed and waves coming over the seawall. At the Town's Shore Protection Board meeting this week a plan was presented by Publc Works.

Inlet Maintenance Dredging is Set to Begin – Sand Going on North Beaches

By Michele Dargan, Special for the Civic Association -- The process of putting $8 million worth of sand on north end beaches - at no cost to the town through inlet maintenance dredging - will begin Friday by moving equipment onto the beach, said Coastal Program Manager Rob Weber.
