Restoration of the Midtown Beach dune-line starts this Wednesday, February 8, and is expected to take about three weeks.

The sand will be delivered by truck from an upland mine to the beach at Peruvian Avenue and South Ocean Boulevard. Work hours will be between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m, Monday through Saturday.

The project will include the placement of approximately 5,000 cubic yards of sand along the beach between approximately Hammon Avenue and Via Marina.

Use caution because dumptrucks will be entering and exiting the beach onto S. Ocean Ave.  There will be advanced warning signs posted, traffic cones, and flaggers directing motorists.

The project is being funded and constructed by 3550 Holdings, Inc., as required by state permit, to deliver an equal amount of beach-quality sand to Mid-Town that is being removed from a construction site in the Town of South Palm Beach.

Questions or concerns should be directed to Laura Shepherd, Environmental Project Manager, of Moffat & Nicol at (786)725-4183.
